I bought the flexible horseshoe hoop in clear/colourless for my septum ahead of my surgical procedure and it worked perfectly. The balls are threaded like normal metal jewellery and it goes in and out with ease. Stays in place and the balls on the ends felt secure. Only slight criticism is that the ends of the plastic feel a little rough or pointy when being inserted, otherwise worked like a charm.
